I was playing with one of the Paper Pumpkin kits we’ll be using Friday at the party. (And I hope you’ll be there, by the way!) We’ll be using the In the Bag and Pedal Parade kits. I wanted to do something different with the bag kit, though, so I used the embellishments to create a card. Here’s the original project.
And here’s my card.
I embossed the Pistachio Pudding layer with the Ampersand embossing folder, then covered the embossed area with glue using the 2-way glue pen, then added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I almost stamped the back of one of the pre-printed letters with the sentiment, but at the last minute, I decided to punch a 1″ circle from Whisper White card stock for the “Something To Say” sentiment. I had colored a vintage button with Coastal Cabana blendabilities for another project, but snitched it to add to the Bermuda Bay ribbon. One last bit of news – there are new stamps available! If you like to start working on Christmas cards in July, there are two sets you can order this month as a Holiday Catalog sneak peek. First is Beauty of the Season, available in clear or wood mount.
Virginians (and those from other states with the cardinal as their state bird) will love this set! I know I can use it all year! But he does look a little like Walter after he’s had a bath! This will be fun to color, though. The other two sets are photopolymer sets. Christmas Bliss is another holiday set.
And the final set is the male version of “Sweetie Pie” that was offered several months ago. This is called Dear Heart. It’s kind of hard to see in the photo, but there are lots of boy faces, with a raccoon, a dragon-ish alligator type creature, a fish and…Mom, calm down. That round thing is not a snake. It’s a picture frame to put the boys’ faces in.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
