Happy Birthday, Big Brother!

Open Sea, World Map, Amazing Birthday, Stampin' Up!

Here’s the birthday card I made my brother. His birthday was yesterday, but he’s at the beach so wouldn’t get it until Sunday if I had mailed it. Since I think I’ll see him when he comes through town on his way home, I just saved it to give to him in person. Since he’s fishing today, I thought this was appropriate.  My sky looks a little stormy, though…Hope he has better weather in North Carolina!

I used the Open Sea for the main image and World Map for the background. I wanted the front to look like a porthole, so I used the circles collection framelits. The Garden Green circle opens to show the image from Amazing Birthday and the sentiment from Life’s Adventure hostess set.

I tend to shy away from circles that open like this, because, quite honestly, sometimes they look like toilet seats.  But since this opens on the side, I guess it’s ok.  Although my brother is a huge practical joker, I didn’t want to give him a toilet seat for his birthday card.  Not this year, anyway!

Hopefully he and his family are too busy having fun to notice this card when it pops up on facebook.  But just in case – pretend you’re surprised, Mike, ok??

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!
