Tap, Tap, Tap

Tap Tap Tap, Stampin' Up!

This is another new set from the Stampin’ Up! annual catalog – Tap Tap Tap.  This is like the typewriter I learned to type on waaaaay back in my senior year of high school.   For the record, we did have “electric typewriters,” but those were only for business students and advanced typing classes.  (Do they even teach typing any more?  I think all kids are born with the ability to use a keyboard these days!)

I really like the new Typeset specialty designer series paper.  It’s very thin – like pages in a book – but you don’t have to rip up old books, which, of course, I just can’t do.  I had planned to use the other side of the paper, but since someone doesn’t put the labels on her stamps, I stamped the “tap tap tap” upside down.  “dat, dat, dat” didn’t make any sense, so I used the grid side, after die-cutting with a window frame framelit.

The background is the Dictionary background stamp.  This comes in clear mount, wood mount and as a stamp brush digital download, so whatever your preferred crafting method, we’ve got you covered!

I decided the card needed a little color, so after adding the Watercolor Wonder washi tape, I included some of the Beach House washi tape.  The “pink” is actually Real Red, but it looks enough like Strawberry Slush that it worked with the pink sentiment.    The “Just Because” is from the set And Many More.  It’s a mix of 23 sayings and fonts (also available in wood and clear).

So there you go.  I actually used pink on a vintage-type card – something I thought I’d never do.  Ok – I use Blushing Bride all the time on vintage cards.  But that’s not “pink pink” like Strawberry Slush!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!

Lordy you are a generation younger than me and I learned on one of those too and typed all my papers in college on one a bit smaller than that. i touch type and find it amazing that kids can touch type withe two thumbs as fast as I do on a keyboard. And I type fast. Love that paper am ordering some this week.
