More new stamps to play with! And, yes, Hardwood is new to me. I waited to order it, because I always order a ton of stuff from the seasonal catalogs, and then they don’t make it to the annual catalog. So I wanted to be sure I’d get more than 3-6 months’ use out of it.
Finally, around, oh, April, I broke down and ordered it. Except I didn’t have my catalog handy, so I used the search feature and put in, “Woodgrain.” And, of course, that’s what came up. And, since I was experiencing the extreme rush I get when ordering new stamps, I totally missed the fact that I was not ordering the stamp I wanted. And, of course, Woodgrain retired earlier this month.
So all that to say…I finally have it and it arrived today. I also ordered the Corner Garden background stamp, and I thought they’d work well together. Let me just say that fussy cutting the Corner Garden image was a bit of a pain. If you look closely, you’ll see that I got tired of cutting and decided to color in some of the spaces with Old Olive blendabilities instead of cutting. And it looks fine.
The sentiment is from another new stamp – Polka Dot Pieces. The images are cute, and it coordinates with several punches – the Bird builder, two scallop circles and the Elegant Butterfly, as well as the Bitty Banners framelits. I think one of the cards we’re making at club will use this set. I’m still thinking about that one, though.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
