I love the fish in the Stampin’ Up! By the Tide stamp set. They just look a little grumpy, don’t you think? Like, “Hey – be careful of that little wiggly worm. It’s a trap. Just keep swimming!” I wish I had a stamp that said, “Just dropping a line…”

This was another color challenge.  The colors were Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand, Elegant Eggplant and Lost Lagoon.  It looked very aquatic, so that helped with the stamp set.  And I just thought “hey there” from the Just Sayin’ set worked perfectly.  If you look at the set, the word bubble part goes the other direction – and I wanted the fish to be “talking.”  Although, I guess could have had it pointing off the card…like someone couldn’t keep up.  Anyway – I die cut the word bubble first with the Word Bubbles framelits, then I inked the stamp with an Elegant Eggplant marker so I could omit everything except the words.  The I stamped on the back of the word bubble, so the arrow would be pointing toward the fish.

Although Just Sayin’ and the word bubbles will be in the new catalog, they’re in the Occasions catalog now – and if you order before June 1, you can get the bundle price (15% off!) on either a wood or clear bundle.  Who doesn’t want to save money, right?

I spent a lovely morning painting furniture for the front porch.  The furniture is white wicker with blue cushions.  I was sitting out there reading my Stampin’ Success magazine (finally; I’ve had it for a month), and I had a “light bulb” moment.  I was wondering what to do for my July Craft Project Central project, and I was totally inspired.  I can’t wait to show it to you – but it will be two more months.  AARGH!  I’m not sure I can wait.  But I guess I’ll have to!  (Hint:  Can you say, “nautical?”)  After all the furniture was painted, I worked on that project, and I’m 90% finished – a month early!
