Work of Art

Blended Bloom, Work of Art, Stampin' Up!

I had the best day today. It was a “work day” for me, but since “work” means “paper crafting,” it’s not really work.  But don’t tell my family that.

I played with a lot of new and returning products.  I also found some fun color combinations to work with.  This card uses one.  The colors are so fun – lots of blues and violets – and then it throws in this pop of orange.

I used the Blended Bloom stamp with the Work of Art set.  Both of these sets will be in the new catalog, and you can order them on June 2.  Most of the colors are already available, but I did use three new In Colors – Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss.  Other colors are Soft Sky, Wisteria Wonder, Marina Mist, and Night of Navy.  It’s easy to cut banners by hand, but I used the Hearts a Flutter framelits for mine.  I used one retiring product – Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine.  It’s on sale right now, so grab some while you can!

Blended Bloom is a nice stamp to use with the new Blendabilities that will be available soon, but I used markers and watercolor paper with aqua painters.  It gives it a really pretty watercolored look.  I stamped and colored three times, then cut each layer and popped them on stampin’ dimensionals so the flower wouldn’t be flat.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!
