It’s time for another blog hop!  You may have arrived here by way of Stefanie’s blog.  Isn’t she amazing?  I love her style and the projects she creates.  If you’re just starting with my post, that’s ok.  You can hop to each stop until you get back here.  You can also go to the hop home page at any time if you want to take a break and come back later.

We’re still celebrating spring.  I created projects to show products I’m sad are retiring, products I’m glad are staying, and brand new products that make me wonder how I ever crafted without them.

Our town celebrates the arrival of spring each year with an apple blossom festival.  The small, rural town swells to about five to ten times its normal size, so it’s great for tourism.  Locals either plan large parties or leave town.  Mike & I are in the second group.  But before we head out, there’s a luncheon that I attend first.  It’s sponsored by apple growers, and it actually does celebrate a new year of apples.  We use the money from ticket sales to help fund two scholarships we give each year to horticulture majors at Virginia Tech.   This year, my Rachel was the decorating committee chair, and she did a magnificent job.  She and her sidekick, Steph, worked and planned for months – and it showed.  Everything was just beautiful.  I took a few pictures of the decorations, and decided to use those with my Project Life Everyday Adventure kit.

Project Life is a lifesaver for me.  I love to keep a record of events, and I really enjoy scrapbooking, but I’m not good at it.  At all.  Project Life makes it easy.  The divided pockets are perfect for snapshots, and the cards make journaling easy.  Stampin’ Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins, and we now have Project Life by Stampin’ Up!  Cards and accessory packs coordinate with our exclusive colors, stamp sets and dies.  Nice, right?

I was so proud of the job Rachel did.  It was very festive, yet elegant.  Everything was “just right.”  (You can see the photos on the VA State Horticultural Society Auxiliary facebook page.  They look at a lot better when they’re not “pictures of pictures.”)

I made this card after I finished the scrapbook page.  It just reminded me of my daughters-in-law, Steph & Rachel.  They are awesome young women – and they’re more daughters than “in-laws.”

This is the In This Together stamp set that will be in the new annual catalog.  It’s so fun – and I used another product I’m not sure how I lived without – Blendabilities.  These are the Stampin’ Up! alcohol markers, and they’re awesome.  They’re easy to use and the colored images are so vibrant.   I used the Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Rich Razzleberry and Skin Tone sets for this.   The sentiment is from the Yippee Skippee set (available now and staying around.  YAY!).  I used markers and the Stamp-a-ma-jig to pull words from two different stamps.  The Kaleidoscope designer series paper is another product I’ll be sad to see go.  It’s in the Occasions catalog, and it will only be available through June 1.

And, finally, a vintage card that can be used for a wedding, anniversary, graduation, or birthday.  I used the Papaya Collage set and En Francais background stamp for this (two that I’m sad to see retire) with some of the new In Colors.  The card base and the flower are Blackberry Bliss.  It’s a gorgeous reddish purple, and this photo does not do it justice.  It’s just yummy.  I used Baked Brown Sugar for the neutral card stock.  The flowers and darker butterfly are Mossy Meadow, and the yellow butterfly and ribbon are Hello Honey.  I love that stitched satin ribbon!  It’s very soft and ties so easily.
