So first – is it Mother’s Day or Mothers’ Day? Everything I’ve seen is Mother’s Day, but it’s the day of more than one mother. I’ll have to consult Grammar Girl.
Here’s a quick card I made tonight. I bought the Hexagon Hive thinlits die, but just haven’t been able to incorporate it into anything. So I decided to make a trellis with it, using the Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack. Then I stamped and punched lots of Petite Petals and layered them over a few leaves from Secret Garden. I added some Crushed Curry Dazzling Details to the centers of the flowers. What? Yes, I do know we don’t have Crushed Curry Dazzling Details. But you can make it by added some ink refill to the glitter glue. Easy! I like to mix a whole bottle, because then it’s always ready.
I spent the rest of the day working on photos for a Craft Project Central project for May, practicing, and cutting paper and making little pouches for the ladies (and, hopefully, a gentleman or three!) at Spring Arbor. Tonight, Mike & I were watching Chopped, and I had a great idea. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a kind of “Chopped” for crafters? You’d get a basket of craft supplies and you have to make an amazing project using all of those supplies, plus extras in the Chopped Craft Room.
We kind of did that at a team meeting about a year ago. It was so much fun! Well, I thought it was fun. You just need to relax and realize it’s not brain surgery or anything. Nothing bad will happen if you have a horrible project (although all the end results were really great).
The first round could be tags, the second cards, and the third, maybe a 3-D item. I’ll have to think about that one.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful!
