The Earth Laughs

Peaceful Petals, Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog, Fabulous FloretsMy friend Liz has been using alcohol markers for some of her projects.  Since Stampin’ Up! will be offering Blendabilities – our version of alcohol markers – sometime this year, Liz graciously agreed to demo how to use them.  We colored the flower from Peaceful Petals with the alcohol markers to make this cute bookmark using the scalloped tag topper punch and (retired) two tags die.

At first, I didn’t see much difference between the alcohol markers and using our Stampin’ Write markers with an aqua painter on watercolor paper.  And then I looked at them side by side.

Fabulous Florets, Stampin' Up!, QuatrefancyI used similar colors for these flowers from Fabulous Florets.  The watercolor markers are so much more muted, while the alcohol markers look like they were printed.  I love having options!

Both the card and the tag use the quote from the Fabulous Florets set.  I added a few leaves and printed window sheet from the Quatrefancy specialty designer series paper for my card.
