Flowers and Clay

CPC33, Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog, Vivid VasesThis has been such a crazy week!  It was supposed to be a little calmer, but it just seemed like I didn’t get much done.

I did get a chance to play along with the Craft Project Central “Creating Pretty Cards” sketch challenge.  This month’s sketch is by Amanda – one of my favorite designers.  I stamped Vivid Vases from the Occasions catalog on a dyed doily, then colored the vases and flowers with markers.  The Island Indigo layer is embossed with the Stripes folder, and the Crisp Cantaloupe strips are embossed with one of the Delicate Designs folders.  It needed a little something, so I added a clay flower and a butterfly (punched from the Brights collection designer paper stack).

If you’d like to play along with the challenge, you can find the sketch and other cards here.

I still do not have that set but I am so tempted by all the great samples. Thanks for playing along this month.
