Grungy Flowers and Burlap

CPC32, Craft Project Central, Petite Petals, Flower Shop, Stampin' Up!I made this card for the Craft Project Central sketch challenge for this week.  I had so much fun!  My cards lately have been very clean, so I went all out with the sponging and splattering on this one.  Actually I didn’t really splatter.  I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  It’s one of my favorites from the annual catalog.

The flowers are from the Flower Shop and Petite Petals sets.  Both have coordinating punches, and you can get the sets and punches together to save money (Petite Petals – Wood Bundle, Clear Mount Bundle; Flower Shop – Wood Bundle, Clear Mount Bundle).

For the centers of the flowers I used a mixture of Dazzling Details with Crushed Curry ink refill.  When it dried, I added large and medium sized pearls to the centers.  I love the Soho Subway designer series paper; I thought it went really well with this sketch.

For the final part of the challenge, I used burlap ribbon  and Victoria crochet trim (also used to close the card).  The clasp is made with the scalloped tag topper punch from the Occasions catalog.

Here’s the inside.

The sentiment is a Sale-a-bration set – You’re Lovely. It coordinates with the Deco Labels Collection framelits for the Big Shot.

Play along with the challenge and you could win a free subscription to Craft Project Central!  Create a card using the sketch this week, then post your card to the Craft Project Central blog.  Here’s the link and the original sketch (designed by Yapha).

For more inspiration, take a look at the other cards. You can see that you don’t have to follow the sketch to the letter. You can flip it and change a few things (the circle on my card is a bouquet of flowers). Just let your creativity go wild!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy, and have a wonderful day!
