I needed something warm and spring-like today, so I pulled out some more of the supplies from my latest Stampin’ Up! order. It was full of Occasions catalog items and Sale-a-bration freebies! And since I’m really, REALLY tired of cold and snow, this really perked up my spirits.
I used the Retro Fresh designer series paper and designer washi tape on this card. I love the colors in that suite. And it works really well with the designer series paper color stacks. The little Petite Petals stamps are the perfect size for this card. Most of my other flowers and punches were either too big or too small, but – like the little bear’s chair, porridge and bed, this set and punch from the Occasions catalog were just right And you can bundle them and save 15%. The flower centers are the little scallop circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.
Because my order was a splurge for me, I ended up with three Sale-a-bration items this time. I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder and the Banner Blast stamp set. There’s a coordinating punch that works with the Banner Blast set, and I was sure that I added it to my order, but I couldn’t find it today. I guess I was thinking it would be easy to cut the banners, so I saved it for my next order. The punch will be carried over to the annual catalog, so it’s a great item to get free! The twine for the banner is part of the Sweet Sorbet accessory pack from Sale-a-bration.
These colors remind me of a spring picnic or a day at the beach. And I love how the banner pieces made with washi tape look like they’re fluttering in the breeze. I’m looking forward to spring – and I think we might just have a little taste of it later this week. Virginia winters have been milder, with short cold spurts broken up by weeks of warmer weather and very little snow. This year, however, we’ve had a real winter, and I’m sure all our northern friends are tired of the collective southern whine! Soon, Virginia. Soon it will be spring again!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a warm and wonderful day!
