Today was my “Craft Day” with friends. I always take a ton of supplies – about 3-4 bags full. This time, I decided to only take a few kits and leftover supplies from workshops. It was so fun to be creative with limited stamps and ink! (I did take my markers, so I wasn’t that “ink challenged.”)
Before everyone got there, I made a really cute valentine, but I can’t post that until I get permission. My friend Susan sent me the idea for it – but she may use it for her blog. So until she does (or gives me the “go ahead” to post), it’s staying hidden.
One of the kits I took with me was the Everyday Occasions cardmaking kit. It’s so much fun! Everything you need to create 20 cards is there for you in a pretty box – stamps (lots of stamps!), ink, embellishments, pre-cut cards, stampin’ dimenstionals. You can get creative or just follow directions and create the suggested card. Because, really, sometimes you just don’t have that creative mojo going for you.
These two are almost exactly like the samples. I changed the stamp on the “Congratulations” one, because I just got the Express Yourself hostess set and wanted to use it. And instead of using the ink in the box, I used a Calypso Coral marker to ink the stamp. But aren’t they fun?
There are lots of card kits available from Stampin’ Up! – and you can see many of them here. There are more available in the Occasions Catalog. Kits are such an easy way to be creative without a lot of supplies or time – so they’re perfect if you’re short on time and space!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
