I inked the Music Notes wheel with Baked Brown Sugar ink for the background. I embossed a Daydreams Medallions image in gold Encore ink and gold embossing powder on vellum card stock, then die cut it with the floral frames collection framelits. I stamped the flower from Secret Garden two times in Rose Red ink, then die cut the flowers and a Pistachio Pudding leaf with the Secret Garden framelits. I water colored the flower with Blush Blossom and Rose Red ink. And, of course, since it’s obviously a “girl card” I tied some Blushing Bride stitched grosgrain ribbon around the card.
I sometimes have a hard time with wheels, so I was really happy with the way this turned out. I probably just try too hard and “overthink” the process! When I just “go with it,” it turns out much better.
Mike & I watched Captain Phillips tonight. We must be on a Tom Hanks kick, because we saw Saving Mr. Banks over Christmas. But as I thought about all the roles he’s played, I’m very impressed. Some actors seem to play the same role in every movie. And sometimes, when you see them in an interview, you realize they aren’t really acting at all. But Tom Hanks seems to have a pretty wide range. Not that I know that much about acting. My experience is limited to a stint on the drama team at church. That was fun! I loved playing the nasty or neurotic roles. Probably because the nice ones were so much like me, it wasn’t a stretch. (I can hear my family laughing hysterically at that as I type.) But the “nice” roles aren’t nearly as fun. Ah, well. Movie night was a great end to the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
