How cute is this bookmark? Ruth was in charge of the Make & Take at our stamping team meeting last week. She brought a lot of supplies to make valentine goodies – bookmarks, candy wrappers (I scored my wrapper wrong, so had to eat the chocolate myself. *sigh* The sacrifices I make!), pencil toppers, and more. It was so much fun! The weather was getting ugly, so we didn’t stay long, but we had a great time. Liz got very creative and did some beautiful things with the gold Fancy Foil Designer vellum. I was out of creative mojo, so I totally copied Ruth’s bookmark made from Modern Medley designer series paper and the new Scalloped Tag Topper punch from the Occasions catalog. When I got home, I added a little Basic Black card stock to the top, then covered the back with Very Vanilla and a Cherry Cobbler top to make it a bit more stable.
The cute little i (heart) u and the arrow both came from the Label Card Thinlits dies. That little red glimmer paper heart and the Adorning Accents embossing on the Cherry Cobbler punched heart add just the right touches, I think.
So this will be for one of the young book lovers in my life. I love having ideas for little gifts that don’t include candy, since all four kids are very health-minded in their eating habits. And at least two are very resistant to trading in “real” books for digital versions, so they always need bookmarks.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day.
Great ideas today.
