Mom’s Birthday Present

Mom_birthdayTomorrow is Mom’s birthday, so I decided to make her a set of note pages.  They’re for those little notes you need to write and never have paper for – phone messages, reminders, grocery lists, stuff like that, but you can also mail them, either like postcards or in an envelope.  I’m making more to go with it, but this is what I have so far.

I used the instructions for the “Any time Notes” from Julie Beltramo for Craft Project Central in December for the basic measurements.  Instead of Modern Medley paper, I used the new Watercolor Wonder designer series paper with Gumball Green ribbon and Gumball Green, Smoky Slate and Island Indigo card stock.  I just remembered I have an extra Island Indigo marker, so I may substitute that for the pen.  This pen writes in turquoise ink, so I’m having a hard time giving it away.  (Sorry, Mom.)

This project is so quick and easy.  I’m going to make some mailable note cards to go with it.  (Hope Mom waits until after tomorrow to read this.  If not – SURPRISE!  Here’s your gift.)

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.  Have a wonderful day!

Oh my goodness, these are SO pretty! I could never use them for a message or a list! I love the colors, and I can understand about your reluctance to part with a pen that writes in turquoise ink! I do love good pens and cool colors of ink!

Don’t tell Mom, but I kept the pink and purple. And next time I’m at her house, her turquoise one just might disappear. Mom will probably end up mailing these as postcard type notes. Or love letters to my dad.

What a thoughtful and awesome gift! It is so classy to send a note on a “real” note card rather than those freebie tablets with the company ad from banks and suppliers!!!!! Truly, they are beautiful and the entire gift is just what I needed (and wanted). You know I always like to have a supply of cards ready to use. I love the colors!!!!
