Each month in addition to the great 3D projects at Craft Project Central, they also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!!
This is the sketch for January. It’s easy to play along. Just create a card using the sketch idea. It doesn’t have to be exactly like the sketch. You can turn it, make it bigger, smaller, use different embellishments, colors – whatever you want. The sketch is just an “inspiration starter” for you.
Here are two of the cards I made. The Valentine was created using the Hearts Collection framelits and the new spiral flower die from the Occasions catalog. I also used Gorgeous Grunge for the splattered background and the Little Leaves sizzlit. And, of course, I used Gingham Garden washi tape.
I made the Thank You card tonight. For this one, I used several new products from the Stampin’ up! Occasions catalog – Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards and Envelopes, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape (it’s gold!!), Watercolor Wonder designer series paper and the new Happy Watercolor stamp set. (Do you see a theme here?) These products, the spiral flower die and lots, lots more will be available for purchase Friday, Jan 3.
I also used a vintage designer button with gold foil underneath. It looks so pretty in person. The facets on the button catch the light and that gold foil really sparkles. I added a little Island Indigo candy dot in the corner.
So head over to Craft Project Central to see the guidelines for posting. It’s easy – and you might just win a month’s subscription to CPC! My dear friend Susan Horr won in December with her beautiful winter card. (Congratulations, Susan!!)
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
