Every month at Craft Project Central, there’s a sketch challenge, “Creating Pretty Cards.”
*Project designers may submit cards for inspiration, and they count toward the 10 submissions, but we aren’t eligible for the free subscription. So that gives you an even better chance to be picked!
For my card, I used the Gently Falling and Wetlands sets with the Modern Medley designer series paper. My friend Chris designed a card using the leaf image as a feather, and I thought it was so clever, I had to try it.
The button beside the sentiment is one of the Vintage Designer Buttons. I dunked it in Versamark and heat embossed it with black powder. And don’t you love the Stampin’ Up! burlap? I like to rip the sides off so it frays a little for a more rustic look.
You can see this month’s sketch and the guidelines here. Challenges are a great way to boost your creativity, and this one is really fun. There’s also a mini tutorial, so you won’t have to guess at dimensions.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day!
Love everything about your card – I would not have thought to use those leaves as feathers. x

Thanks, Angie! I wouldn’t have thought of it either, but my friend Chris Schultz inspired me!
