Is this adorable, or what? Of course, because it’s a Starbucks card (thanks, Darrah!!!), it’s even more adorable, but, hey – that’s just me.
This was the quickest gift card holder I’ve ever made. I saw this idea on our Stampin’ Up! discussion board, but I’m not sure who the original creator is. It’s gotten passed down from demo to demo, so it’s hard to know who started it.
To make this, you use the smallest envelope liner framelit. Cut two and then glue the sides and bottom together. Done. I folded the flap on the front pocket down, and added a few scraps around the bottom of the holder. I used the Season of Style designer series paper stack, and you can get both framelits from one piece of the paper. There’s even washi tape that coordinates with the paper. Of course, you can also get the 12″x 12″ full pack of all twelve designs of Season of Style designer series paper, too. The new Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags coordinate with the Season of Style products. And you can’t have the Pop & Place gift tags without the Christmas Tagables photopolymer stamp set. (Bundle these two items and save money!)
I know all stores have cute little gift card holders that either come with the card or are available for purchase. But, hey – if you’re giving a gift card, it’s nice to have a little personal touch, right? Don’t get me wrong. I love gift cards, and I have a list if my faves ready if anyone asks what I’d like. But I always feel like I cheated a little when I give them, because it’s so easy to purchase the cards. Shopping that used to take hours and miles of walking can now be done in one stop. So having that handmade gift card holder makes it really special. Just don’t tell the recipient how easy this was!
Have a great day – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.
That is adorable! What a great idea!
