Secret Garden in Bermuda Bay

Lovely Romance, Fabulous Florets, Secret Garden, Stampin' Up!I thought I’d pop off a quick post before we leave today.  We’re getting a later start than we had hoped, but what’s new, right?

My dear friend Janet Crossman sent me the most beautiful birthday card.  I didn’t take a picture, but it has a laser cut floral border with larger flowers popped up over top – and it lights up!  It’s just gorgeous.

Of course, I wanted to do something similar with Stampin’ Up! products.  This doesn’t come close, by the way, but I like it.  I didn’t at first, but my dear Rachel and Stephanie were here and gave me some ideas.  Basically, we added the white strip and removed a flower.  Easy!

I embossed the Fabulous Florets with white powder on the Bermuda Bay layer.  Then I had the idea to die cut flowers – and I didn’t have time to “scissor cut!”  So for the Pool Party flowers (with basic pearl jewels in the center; I colored them with a permanent marker), I used the Secret Garden stamps and framelits.  The sentiment is from Lovely Romance, embossed with Pool Party powder on vellum, and die cut with Chalk Talk framelits.  Done!

Gotta run!!  I still need to pack food for two weeks.  Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
