You have one more day to take advantage of the “Pick a Kit” promotion from Stampin’ Up! If you sign up to become a demonstrator, you can pick a kit (or two!) to add to your demo starter kit. Pretty nifty! That’s an extra ~$30 in product. And you already get $125 in your choice of product for $99. You can see more details here. But hurry! The deal ends August 31.
One of the perks I get as a Manager is a free bundle when the new catalogs come out. With the fall catalog, I got the Thankful Tablescape simply created kit, Magnificent Maple stamp, burlap ribbon, and Sweater Weather designer series paper – all free! The napkin holders, belly bands and stuff were really cute, but I couldn’t see my crowd appreciating them. I do place cards sometimes, but the rest just gets in the way of the food. So I decided to do other things with the bundle.
Almost everything on this card is from the kit. I cut feathers from the napkin holder and Chocolate Chip paper ribbon, used the place card holder, belly band and more of the napkin holder for layers, and added the linen thread over the frayed burlap. I added a Crumb Cake card, naturals designer button and stamped Very Vanilla deco label (using the Bring on the Cake set).
I have some others, but I’m not thrilled with them, so they need a little more work. Stay tuned.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day!
