I hope you enjoyed our mini hop over the weekend. I loved the projects that Jackie, Kath and Debbie posted. They are such talented and creative women!
Rachel loved the banner I made for her birthday. We used to do computer-made banners all the time – especially when the continuous feed paper was around (is that what it was called? It was all hooked together, but each page was perforated…I’m talking ages and ages ago!). I have Happy Birthday banners from the store, but I love adding the canvas Build a Banner underneath. It just makes it a little more personal – and so far, the kids have loved them!
This is a card we’ll be making at the “Wow! Cards” class. You only have until 10 p.m. Wednesday to sign up, so you need to let me know soon.* This one uses the Tea Party stamp set. I heat embossed it with Pewter powder, then colored the image with Stampin’ Write Markers. I die cut the image with the Ovals collection framelits, then mounted it on a piece of vellum card stock that I embossed with the Designer Frames embossing folders and cut out with decorative scissors. I mounted that to an Early Espresso oval, added some Very Vanilla card stock (embossed with the Stripes folder) and some Crumb Cake designer series paper.  I like the way the 7/16″ trim gives it kind of an earthy feel, but it works with the vintage look of the distressed Tea Lace paper doily.
The Tea Party card uses several techniques – embossing on vellum, heat embossing, “out of the box,” and distressing. Other cards in the class will be similar to this one – using different techniques that we aren’t able to do in a workshop or club.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day!
*Class size is limited. Class registration is complete when payment is received.Â
I need to take your class! Do you do it on the road? I think you should schedule it in Northern New York!

OK!! Wouldn’t that be fun? Or you could do 3 and I could do 3 and we could meet halfway – like in PA somewhere. Or…
