Happy Birthday, Big Brother!

Wetlands, World Map, Stampin' Up!First of all, this really is for my big brother, Mike, not “Big Brother.”  And his birthday was really in June.  BUT – for the last three years, I’ve made him a lovely card in April or May, and for the last three years, I’ve lost the card by the end of May.  This is the replacement card I’m finally sending.  Next year, I’m sending him his card the minute it’s made – so it might be January.  Surprise!!

People laugh when I tell them I celebrate my birthday from August 1 to October 31.  But if Mike were as considerate as I am and celebrated from – oh, May 31 – August 31, he’d still be celebrating, this card wouldn’t be late, and I wouldn’t feel bad.  So there.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Wetlands stamp set, because I just got it and because he’s an outdoors kind of guy.  Unlike his little sister, he really does enjoy nature.  And I used the World Map in the background with the Etc. designer series paper.  Fun!  I thought it just needed a little something so I added a clip from the Hardware Clips Essentials pack.  The goose is die cut with the new deco labels framelits.  And, if you look closely, you’ll see a little Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid stamped on there, too.

So – happy birthday, Big Brother!  You’re the best – and I love you!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day!
