Way To Go!

Delightful Dozen, Mosaic Madness, Stampin' Up!Here’s one of the cards we made at stamp club this month.  It uses the Mosaic Madness and Delightful Dozen stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up! annual catalog and the Mosaic punch and embossing folder.  It was inspired by a swap from my friend Susan (here).

I love the ruffle stretch trim in the newest In Colors.  It’s so yummy; the colors remind me of ice cream.

So here’s the Way to Go! part.  (Shameless bragging on my son alert.)

Jon was in the state weightlifting competition today.  He mostly did it to get a feel for what the competitions would be like and for the experience.  He looked so awesome – his form was excellent, and he succeeded at 6 out of 6 of his lifts.  AND – he won 3rd in the Open and Championship in his weight class!!  I have no idea what that means, but it has to be good, right?  And he’s really excited.  As soon as he gets home and I get a chance to ask, I’ll find out exactly how good it is.  I made him a quick banner using the Build a Banner kit from the Holiday catalog (available Aug 1).  I wanted it to be kind of rustic and gritty (like a gym), and I think it turned out really well.  I’ll post a photo after I get a daylight picture.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day!

I am not sure how my swap inspired this card, but it is just my kind of card. Love it. Congrats to your son too! How awesome!
