Fab Friday Color Challenge

I’m finally getting to play along with the Fab Friday challenge again.  Life’s been a little crazy, but seems to be calming a bit.  Ha!  Let me tell you about today.  But first, the challenge.

Fab Friday 22, Stampin' Up!, Gorgeous GrungeThis week’s challenge is a color challenge, and you can see the rules and details for this week here.  Basically, the details are, “Use these three colors.”  Pretty simple.

Here’s the card I made.

Fab Friday 22, Stampin' Up!, Gorgeous Grunge, Mosaic MadnessI used new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog sets – Mosaic Madness and Gorgeous Grunge, and the sentiment is from Really Good Greetings. Instead of Whisper White, I grabbed some Naturals White. And, of course, I had to add some washi tape. I think washi tape and Gorgeous Grunge are my two new favorite products.

So, I know you’re waiting with bated breath to hear about my day.  I walked into this bar.  No, seriously, I walked into a bar.  Here’s the story.

I was catching up on laundry, getting clothes ready for my trip to Salt Lake City, straightening a little, and then I went to my stamp room to finish swaps and work on the challenge card.  Dear little Walter – our twice-rescued adoptee – acted like he wanted to go out, so, instead of making him climb the steps, I decided to let him out through the garage.  The garage that Mike & the boys have turned into a gym.  The gym with a Smith machine beside the door.  (Thank goodness I’m on the taller side.)  I looked down at Walter, looked up at the door, and WHAM.  Right into the stupid bar on the machine.  It hurt like the dickens, as you can well imagine.  And, vain woman that I am, my first thought was, “Oh, Lord, PLEASE don’t let me have a black eye for convention!”  And then I felt blood dripping from the bridge of my nose.  Ugh.

So if you see me at convention, I’ll be the one with the Angry Birds band-aid on my nose.  Or maybe neon purple.  Depends on my mood.  Hopefully it will be healed enough that it will be hardly noticeable and I won’t need the band-aid.  Of course, it would be right where my glasses sit, and if I pull them down so the cut doesn’t hurt, then they pinch my nose shut and I can’t breathe.  *sigh*  Ah, well.  We’ll have so much fun in Salt Lake City, I won’t even notice!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Amanda & Mindy! It was such a fun challenge. Mindy – it was great to see you, too. I felt like I was in the presence of a celebrity!! And, yeah – it did hurt. I got a text from my hubby during convention. It was a picture of the bar with a towel wrapped around it. Too funny. (And too late!) Still sore, but at least it looks a little better.
