Here’s a card I thought about using for a Stampin’ Up! Convention swap. About 2/3 of the way through, I decided it was a little more work than I wanted to put into a swap card, but I do like the way it turned out. (Thanks, Liz, Standy & Rachel, for your input!)
I used the Paper Doily Sizzlit as the focal point, with a few leaves die cut with the Little Leaves Sizzlit. With a little Afternoon Picnic designer series paper and some Simply Pressed Clay flowers, it shaped up pretty well. I also used the Gorgeous Grunge (my newest favorite!) and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, and a new embossing folder from the Holiday Catalog.
It’s super late – and I need to get an early start tomorrow, so I’m off to bed. Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
This is one of the nicest cards ever…simply gorgeous ….

Sure glad you decided to swap something a bit easier, I hope. I don’t have my swaps yet, but I would feel so bad swapping mine for something this time consuming. Absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks for all the sweet comments. Susan, I’ll make 300 if you help. By the end, you’ll be totally vintage! Darrah – it started out to be simple, but kind of got out of hand. But I’ve loved all your swaps, and have used all of them in workshops. Your card last year was one of my all-time favorites.

Are the colors Coastal Cabana and Perfect Plum? It is absolutely amazing! I just know if I tried to put that much stuff onto any card it would be a hot mess, but you make it look perfect.

Close – Coastal Cabana and Wisteria Wonder (believe it or not; that usually looks gray-er to me). Thanks, Linda!! The secret: I just keep adding stuff until all my smudges and mistakes are covered up!! It actually was a hot mess for awhile.
