I usually have a really hard time with monochromatic cards, but this one came together really easily. One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! is how easy it is to coordinate products, because they’ve already done all the work.
This uses the new Wildflower Meadow background stamp. It has a coordinating embossing folder (also called Wildflower Meadow) – and, of course, you can buy both in a bundle and save 15%. I suggest the wood mount stamp/bundle, because it always lines up with the embossing folder. Sometimes clear mount stamps can bend a bit if you’re not careful putting them on the clear block. I inked the stamp with Bermuda Bay ink, then sponged a little Island Indigo along some of the edges of flowers, then embossed it and cut it out with the new Deco Labels Collection framelits.
I love that we have core’dinations card stock in all colors now. That’s a little sanded strip of Island Indigo core’dinations behind the stamped image and layered over the Quatrefancy specialty designer series paper. I added a little Dazzling Details to the flowers and bird’s eye to give it a little sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Tomorrow night will start our latest blog hop, so be sure to check in! Have a wonderful day.
