Here’s one of the cards I made today. I used the new Tea Party stamp set (love it!). The designer series paper is Marina Mist, from the Subtles paper stack.
I heat embossed the image with pewter powder, then colored the image with markers. And we have core’dinations card stock in every color now! You can buy assortment packs for each color collection and the In Colors. I used the Regals (Rose Red) and Neutrals (Whisper White). I used the Whisper White because I wanted to see what it would look like sanded. (If you sand something that’s white and has a white core, what color will the sanded part be? Yeah – White!!) Even though it doesn’t get lighter when you sand it, it is still textured, so that’s nice. I embossed it with one of the Delicate Designs embossing folders after I die cut the edge with the large scallop edgelit.
Did you see the little flower in the corner? (So, really, how could you not? It’s pretty obvious!) It’s one of the Simply Pressed Clay flowers I made with the Buttons and Blossoms Pressed Clay Molds. I used the blossom mold, but for only $7.95 you get both molds. I left this one white, but you can easily color the clay either before you press it in the mold, by working ink refill into the clay, or using markers or spritzers after the clay dries. If you freeze the clay in the mold for about 15 minutes, it pops out very easily. Then it takes about 24 hours to dry completely.
And now I’m going to take another look at my Holiday catalog! Demonstrators get to preview the catalogs early (one of the many perks!!), and mine came today. And, again – WOW! There are so many fun new products; I can’t wait to get my hands on some of them.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day.
Love the card Buffy.
