Stampin’ Up! sends an annual survey to demonstrators so they can find out how they’re doing. One of the questions on the survey I received today asked what we enjoy most about Stampin’ Up!. This is probably going to sound really corny, but my #1 reason for being a demonstrator is for the relationships I’ve made.
I’m a people person. I love people – all ages, sizes, colors and nationalities, and even people who have different religious and political beliefs (one day they’ll wise up and realize I’m right. HA!). I’m sure that’s the reason I decided on a degree in Piano Accompanying (now called “Collaborative Piano”). Sitting in a practice room for 3-5 hours a day is very boring. Sitting in a practice room with someone else – or a group of people – for 3-5 hours is a social activity. And that’s how I feel about stamping. Stamping alone is ok – and I get a lot done. Stamping with friends is really, really fun. And I’ve made some wonderful friends in this venture. Many of my best friends are “cyber friends,” but that’s for another post.
One group particularly dear to me is my team of demonstrators. We meet once a month to discuss business, share ideas and inspiration, and talk about what’s happening in the stamping world. And we always have a make & take. Sometimes it’s a simple yet beautiful project that’s suitable for a workshop, and other times it’s more involved and suited for a class or stamp camp.
This month, Sandy designed our project – and it’s gorgeous. I love the colors she used (Calypso Coral, Marina Mist, Sahara Sand and Cajun Craze). She also used products from the upcoming catalog – Epic Day Washi Tape and the Wildflower Meadow background stamp. We just inked piece of the stamp with markers. And the Washi tape is for fashion and function! It’s such a clever splash of color, but also gets “stamped on” with StazOn ink and a stamp from the Petite Pairs set.
Thanks, Sandy, for another great card!!
Have a wonderful day -and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
