I think spring may have finally “sprung” in the Shenandoah Valley.  But I’m not making promises.  It was so warm for a few days that Mike wanted to open the pool.  Then it got a little cooler.  Then I thought we were going to have snow.  Then it got warmer again.  Today is a normal spring day, so, hopefully it will stay.

For my friends and me, though, it’s been spring since December when we could preorder from the Stampin’ Up! Spring catalog.  And now, it’s almost time to welcome the 2013 Annual Catalog!  We’re still in spring mode for our hop, though.

Most of my supplies are from the Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog – because I love it!  The first uses a lot of the products from the Tea for Two suite.

I love that honeycomb embossing folder, the floral trim, the doilies, the core’dinations paper…I love it all!  The stamp set I used – Tea Shoppe – will be retiring in June, so be sure to order it now if you love it!

My little flower planter was inspired by my friend Jeanne Kupsh.  She’s a military wife and demonstrator in Germany.  She’s so much fun, and I want to meet her one day.  (She’s the one who went to a stamping retreat in a castle in England.  So jealous!)

Jeanne designed an adorable little flower pot.  I decided to turn it into a whole planter full of flowers – because paper ones are the only ones I seem to be able to keep alive. 

This uses the Petite Purse and Fun Flowers dies (from the Stampin’ Up annual catalog), the Little Leaves sizzlit, and the Itty Bitty Banners frames.  I patted my Versamark pad over the card stock and then used pewter embossing powder to give the planter an aged look.  I turned the purse die upside down to create the planter.

Again, this uses a lot of products from the Spring catalog – the Dress Up framlits, cute clips, Ovals collection framelits, and Print Poetry designer series paper stack.  I also used some new colors. The pinkish color card stock oval and the green card are both new In Colors for 2013-2015.  Look how well they coordinate with the Gumball Green and Primrose Petals.
