What a Day!

Best of Flowers, A Round Array, Stampin' Up! Regional, Baltimore, MDThis was such a wonderful day!  It started with breakfast at Starbucks, then continued at the Stampin’ Up! Regional in Baltimore.  Oh, my!  I got so many wonderful swaps.  My friend Liz (who just got married!!) won a “Dude, You’re Welcome” kit, and everyone there got a Print Poetry designer series paper stack  and a “Make a Wish” set from the Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog.  (Nice, right??)  But here’s the coolest part.

When everyone gets a prize, it takes awhile to give them out, so the entire Stampin’ Up! crew helps.  We had seen Sterling Gardner, Shelli’s husband, handing some out, and it made us smile because he’s so supportive of Shelli (and vice versa).  Shelli Gardner is Co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!, by the way.  Well, look who was the staff member who handed out the prize at our table.

Stampin' Up!, Baltimore Regional, Shelli Gardner, Prize PatrolWhy, yes, that IS Shelli Gardner!!  Pretty cool, huh?  I was snapping pictures really fast with my phone, so this isn’t the best photo of Shelli.  As you know, she’s gorgeous.  But I was really excited.  And I got a nice hug from Shannon West at the end.  (If you’re a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, these names mean a lot more to you.)

And here’s more fun news.  If we signed up a recruit today, she got an extra $50 worth of product in her kit, we each got a free stamp set from the catalog (our choice), and I get whatever the cool thing they’re going to announce Monday afternoon is.  Woooohoooo!!!  And I did get a new recruit.  My “guest” who went with me (who I call “Mom,” because she is) joined my Stampin’ Up! team today.  How cool is that?  Since she’s been my unofficial sub several times I’ve had an emergency and couldn’t make a workshop, she already knows more about the company than most newbies.  So, Welcome, Mom!!!

This was a perfect day – and I’m going to stop now, because I’ve hardly seen my hubby since I got home.  I’ll show you more swaps tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy – and have a wonderful day.

Lori – it was great meeting you, too!! And, Bev – she’s going to be a great “team mate!” She’s an MDS pro, so I can see her getting lots of people hooked on it.

Congrats onon your recruit! What a greatrush day for her tofriend join!! What an amazing day! I was so excited to be there. When she first came out in stage I said to my upline-wow…Shelli is here?! I wad shocked! I didn’t know she would be there. This was my very first SU event. I am so happy that I got to share inspiration with over 800 lovely demonstrators! I was lucky to have met Shelli and her husband as well! They are both such wonderful people! So genuine and they care about those of us who share their love of stamps. Our table was lucky to receive the print poetry paper from Sterling. What a rush yesterday was! I finally got to meet a fellow blogger that I follow and love her designs! (Yes, that is you Buffy!) 🙂 It was so great to finally meet you. I can’t wait to see what is yet to come!
