I finally got my “Designer Typeset” photopolymer stamp set yesterday. So far, I like the stamps in that set. They work very well with the Firm Foam stamp pads that were introduced in our current annual catalog. And they work best if you use a stampin’ pierce mat under your card stock. The letters are very, very tiny, but they fit perfectly in the banner. And – a little warning – they do have a chemicalish odor. I’m hoping that will wear off over time. But so far, I’m happy with them. They stick quite well to the blocks, but you do want to be careful when you clean them that you don’t get too enthusiastic. Some demos have reported flying letters!
One other word of caution — While you can use Stazon ink with these stamps, you should never use Stazon cleaner on them, because that will cause deterioration. But stampin’ mist will clean then well enough. The Stazon may stain, but it won’t affect the stamping quality.
Here’s what I did for this card. To create the More Mustard stripes at the top and bottom, I placed a piece of the Delicate Details lace tape on the Fan Fair designer series paper and sponge ink through the tape. When I finished, I replaced the tape on the backing to use again. You can get a lot of uses out of a strip of the tape! Other spring catalog goodies – the flower trim, Tea Time trinkets, Tea Lace paper doilies and the Elements cute clips. The heart clip was a little too silver for this card, so I dunked it in versamark and then embossed it with pewter embossing powder to tone it down a bit.
Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
Love this Buffy! I may even CASE this!
