Here’s one of the Calypso Coral cards I made Friday. Calypso Coral is one of the 2011-2013 Stampin’ Up! In Colors. It’s scheduled to retire at the end of May, but retiring colors sell out very quickly – so stock up now! It might come back as a core color one day, but there’s no guarantee, so don’t wait until May to order your ink, paper or markers!
I embossed the Very Vanilla card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, then sprited with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Calypso Coral ink refill. I sponged a tiny bit of Soft Suede around the edges.
For the “Chevron Oval,” I embossed the oval image from the Stampin’ Up! spring catalog set, “Oh, Hello,*” with clear powder, then spritzed with the ink/alcohol mixture. Other supplies – Floral Frames framelits, Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon, Ovals collection framelits,* natural 7/16″ trim ribbon. I used Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral stampin write markers for the flower. *Save money by buying the Oh, Hello bundle (stamps and ovals collection framelits) in wood or clear mount!
Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
