The other day, I stuck my head out of the shower and called out, “John Cusack.” And Mike, bless him, said, “Oh, yeah.” Innocent bystanders would still be scratching their heads, but Mike is inside mine, so he knew exactly what I was talking about.
We had been discussing the Super Bowl, and, since neither of us had a “favorite team” in the game, I said, “Well, I’ll cheer for the Ravens since I like Edgar Allen Poe.” And he knew that I meant, “because Poe was from Baltimore.” And, of course, that led to, “Who was the guy who played him in the movie? He has the sister that always plays a kind of goofy part…” Hence, the yelling of “John Cusack” out of the shower three days later.
All that rambling was to say I have the most perfect husband in the world. (Oh, ok. I may be tied with Mom. Her husband – my dad – is also pretty perfect.) And this card is for Mike – because if he has a day as perfect as he is, it would be perfect indeed. (And, in case you’re wondering – No, I haven’t broken anything or need any plumbing pipes or electronics replaced.)
This is also a card we’ll be creating at Technique Class. It’s a copy of one I got from Leadership, but I used different frames, stamps and colors. I love having a “latch” on the gatefold!
I used the Labels Collection framelits with the Very Vintage stamp set (free!) and Parker’s Patterns designer series paper. This technique is so easy with the Big Shot, but you can do it with punches, also. It would be a cute Valentine if you used the hearts collection framelits, don’t you think?
Have a great day – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.
