Here’s another of my favorite Stampin’ Up! Leadership swaps. This is from Angela Waters, a demonstrator from Nashville, TN. She used the Just Thinking stamp and Parker’s Patterns designer series paper from the Stampin’ Up! spring catalog, and the Window Frames collection framelits for the Big Shot. It’s a gatefold card, but here’s my favorite part.
Angela die cut the image, then die cut a frame to fit around it for a “latch” on the gate. Isn’t that clever? Love it!
I know I’ve said it before, but I had so much fun and learned so much at Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2013. Our “Breakout Classes” were fabulous. My Friday class – “Meet New People, Find New Faces” with Shannon West, was packed with information, including 10 proven ways to find new friends to stamp with. Shannon always inspires me, but she’s also so much fun! I think she would be a blast to hang out with!
On Saturday, we had two classes. My first was “Ramping up Your Social Media Presence” with Andrea Withers and demonstrators Becky Roberts, Diane Dimich, and Catherine Pooler. They shared ideas about using Facebook, Blogging and YouTube videos to keep in contact with your customers. I’m working on my first video. Hopefully, all the technical bugs will be worked out tomorrow (crossing fingers).
Finally, my last class, “Creating Your Blueprint for Success” with Brandi Barnard and Meg Daves, showed us how to plan to succeed. I know one of my weaknesses is I plan workshops and classes, but I don’t really count the cost and figure out how much I’m spending. So one of my goals for 2013 is to start tracking my expenses/income better.
Speaking of classes and workshops – I hope you can attend one of my events next week. There are lots of opportunities! I have club on Thursday (1/24) and Saturday (1/26) and craft day on Friday (1/25). For craft day, just bring something to work on and enjoy a day with fellow crafters. If you’re stuck for ideas, don’t let that stop you! I always have a few extra projects you can share!! Finally, our team is meeting on Sunday afternoon, so if you’d like to know more about being a demo, join us! Contact me for info about any of my events, or find more information on my web site.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy, and have a wonderful day!
