Wow! I got so much free product at Leadership 2013 this week! Here’s the run-down – “Parker’s Patterns” designer series paper and Just Thinking stamp from the Spring catalog, Silver glimmer paper, silver Basics Designer Buttons, Designer Builder Brads, Tea Time trinkets, Sale-a-bration brochure, Spring Catalog, Celebrando Creatividad and Annual catalogs, Oh, Hello stamp set, Sketched Birthday stamp set, Best of Birthdays stamp set (I WON THIS!!!!!), Paper Pumpkin “Try It” kit and Paper Pumpkin Jots & Thoughts kit, Leadership journal and tag from Susan (gorgeous!!!), Cute clips, and swaps. PLUS a sliver anniversary Leadership pen, a commemorative pin and the conference booklet (not pictured, but cute!). PLUS we can select a free set from the stamps demonstrated at the conference and add it to our next demo order. Whew.
25 names were randomly drawn throughout the conference, and the winners received free Convention 2013 registrations. My friend Susan Horr was one of them!! I’m so happy for her – and now she HAS to come to convention!
And did I mention the food? Lunches were wonderful – and I will probably talk about the “strawberries/cream/cake & chocolate” dessert for days. Or longer.
I’ll post pictures of swaps and other projects in the next few days, but today’s big news – There will be two new collections of single stamps, and you’ll be able to order them beginning Jan 14 (Monday).
More news – to celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2013, Stampin’ Up! will release a “Best of…” set each month. These will be $14.95, and contain 4 stamps from various retired sets and one new stamp. Each time you purchase one, you’ll get a “Proof of Purchase” sticker. When you purchase 6 “Best of” sets, you’ll get a free $14.95 set. There will be a card to collect your proof of purchase stickers on so you can keep track.
The first set will be “Best of Birthdays.” I WON THIS SET!!! I can’t show you a picture of the set, but here’s a picture of a project created with it. (This uses the new stamp.) You’ll recognize some of the retired stamps, I know. One is a cake that is covered in candles, and it says, “A candle for every year might not be such a good idea…” My mom will love that, because for one of my birthdays, my smarty pants younger son covered the cake with several boxes of candles – way more than I was old! There was also a little paper “Happy Birthday” banner on the cake. Yep. You guessed it. It caught on fire. Fortunately they were able to extinguish the inferno without too much damage to the cake (or the house!!).
Final news that will really please demonstrators – we’ll be able to add online orders to workshops soon. That means if you have a workshop in Virginia, but your best friend just moved to, oh, Florida or Nebraska or somewhere like that, she can order online and it will count toward your workshop. Nice, right??? You’ll even be able to order MDS print products and add them to the workshop.
So that’s enough rambling for today. When I get home, I’ll tell you about some of the fun classes I attended. Hope you have a wonderful weekend – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
