Here’s a fun challenge for you. In 10 minutes, grab stamping supplies for a weekend away. You can only take two bags, and you haven’t had time to really plan.
That’s where I am this weekend. The car was already fairly full – so I knew I wouldn’t have room for a lot of supplies. I knew I wanted to work on some spring and Valentine cards, so I brought some pinks and reds, and some Pool Party and new In Colors. I didn’t bring any stamp pads (except VersaMark and Stazon) or designer paper. And I didn’t have room for my Big Shot. *gasp* I know – no embossing, no die cutting. Like I said, it’s a challenge! If we lived closer to Utah, I’d have my Texture Boutique, but it’s still in transit.
I found out I can do “Clean & Simple!” I embossed the single Love Heart stamped image with pewter embossing powder, then trimmed and mounted it to a Cherry Cobbler full heart. There are doilies stamped in VersaMark on the Pink Pirouette card, but you can’t see them really well.
It needed something more – so I added some punched borders and the Cherry Cobbler tulle. Easy!
I like the way it turned out, and I love the pink & red combination.
Check out the Online Extravaganza if you haven’t already. It ends Wednesday, and there really are some great deals being offered. I’ll be sending in an order next week, so if you want to save some shipping, you can send me your order. I need all orders with payment by Wednesday, Nov. 28 by 5 p.m.
Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!
