I hope you’re enjoying our blog hop this weekend. I know I am. The blog hop participants and the Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who have been “swapping” Christmas cards are from the same forum group. They’re an amazing group of women, and so very talented. Some participated in the hop, some in the swap, and some (like me) in both. I finally got my swaps addressed and ready to mail. I just need to buy some stamps tomorrow and they’ll be on the road!
This swap is from my friend Margaret Brunier in Illinois. I love everything about this card – the silver & white embossed poinsettias, the glimmer paper, the tulle, the paper, the c’oredinations card stock (all from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog) – I love it!
I think I was most excited that she used the tulle. Most of the ways I’ve seen it used included headbands for babies and the ornaments. I’ve made enough ornaments, I think, and I’m in the “between stage” where my friends’ kids and my kids are all grown, but we don’t have grandkids yet. And I’ve never gotten into the headband deal for babies. Maybe it’s because I had boys and brothers, but they look a little like someone stuck a garter around the child’s head. But that’s just me! (I know. I’m not very girlie. God really knew what he was doing when he gave me boys!)
Look at all the “fussy cutting” Margaret did. After about card number, oh – three, those pine needles would be looking kind of sad if I were cutting them. But they almost look real. So pretty!!
The blog hop post will be at the top of the page through Sunday, but be sure to check in and then scroll down for newer posts. I’ll be blogging Saturday, for sure. I’m thinking I may take Sundays off, but we’ll see.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by Stampin’ with Buffy!
