Easy Ornament

Daydream Medallions, Pennant Parade, glitter and glimmer, Stampin' Up!, Big ShotI love the ornaments made with the Ornament Keepsakes bundle that are shown on the front of the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog.  They’re so pretty – and right now it’s even easier to make them.  If you order the Ornament Keepsakes set or bundle and the Candlelight Christmas specialty designer series paper, you’ll get the Festive paper piercing pack free!  Go to my store and order before it’s too late!

Here’s another ornament that uses punches as well as the Big Shot.  The idea is from another demonstrator, Michelle Garcia, from Dulles, VA.  I was also inspired by my friend Sandie Poore.  Sandie created one of the Ornament Keepsake ornaments in blue, and it was so pretty.  So here’s my blue star Christmas ornament.

Every layer of this ornament has something sparkly on it.  First, I punched 5 pennants from Midnight Muse card stock with the Petite Pennants builder punch and sponged them with Platinum shimmer paint.  The next layer has stamped pennants (from Pennant Parade) on Midnight Muse.  I used the Illuminate watermark glimmer pad and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  Next is a 2-3/8″ scallop circle punched from silver glimmer paper, topped with a silver embossed Daydream Medallion image on Whisper White and cut this out with the Floral Frames framelits.  I added some Silver Dazzling Details to this layer and to the Midnight Muse embossed pennants.  The top two layers are more glimmer paper.  I found some snowflakes that I cut out last year using the (retired) Northern Frost decorative strip die, so I added those with a basic glimmer brad in silver.  It really sparkles and shimmers, and it will look great on the Christmas tree.

I know you’re enjoying our blog hop.  There are so many amazing ideas!  I’ll keep my entry at the top through Sunday, but check in and scroll down for new ones from me.

Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by!
