This isn’t at all what I set out to create today. My plan was a card with Autumn Accents leaves from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog, but somewhere along the way my plan got drastically changed. I love the way this looks though.
I decided to use Serene Silhouettes and try to create fall trees. And I knew the Comfort Cafe’ designer series paper would look great on a fall card. I inked the tree stamp with Summer Starfruit, then “thumped” other colors on the trees – Soft Suede, More Mustard, Old Olive, and Cajun Craze. I sponged a little Pool Party around the trees so it would pick up the color in the designer series paper.
I wanted to clear emboss over the dry embossed layer, but I forgot to bring my heat tool home from the stamping studio Friday – even though I went back today to pick it up. The top of the card looked a little bare, so I sponged it with Pool Party and Old Olive. That’s it! Easy and fun, too. And don’t you love the “tone on tone” sentiment tag?
Our next blog hop starts Thursday night, so be sure to check in for that. And there’s a fun special in October – plus it marks my 10th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, so I’m planning a celebration, too. Stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by – and have a wonderful day.
