Polka Dots in Blue

Bordering on Romance, Big Shot, Sizzix, Stampin' UpHere’s an idea I had yesterday.  I’m so thrilled with the way it turned out!  It’s better than the image in my head – and that rarely happens.  I pulled out my Bordering on Romance set, from the Stampin’ Up!® annual catalog.  It’s one of my favorites, but I haven’t used it for awhile since I’ve had some new Christmas and fall sets.  This gave me a great opportunity to use the Adorning Accents edgelits (by Sizzix® for Stampin’ Up!®).

I inked the Perfect Polka Dots folder with Bashful Blue ink, then ran a piece of Whisper White card stock through it.  The top and bottom of the card are stamped and cut with the edgelits.   I cut an oval out of Whisper White and stamped more flowers on that, plus a few extras on another scrap.  I colored them with markers, layered a few, and ended

up with this.

Don’t you love it?  The color combination of white and blue is so clean.  And I really like the way the little flowers overlap onto the top piece.

Don’t forget our blog hop that starts tomorrow.  I think it will be a lot of fun, and I know the projects will be wonderful.  It kicks off at 9 p.m. Eastern Thursday night.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day.
