One of the wonderful things about owning your own business is you can set your own hours. I was having a really hard time nailing down project ideas for club this week. Finally, around midnight this morning, inspiration struck.
I wanted to use products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog, because they’re new and fresh. But I’ve barely scratched the surface with products from the Stampin’ Up® annual catalog. And we only do three projects at club. What to do….what to do….
I think the cards I planned do a pretty good job of using a lot of stamps and accessories. This one uses two sets, a die, a punch and an ink pad from the holiday catalog, as well as several accessories and new In Colors from the annual catalog.
I inked the poinsettia stamp from the Watercolor Winter set with watercolor crayons, then stamped on Whisper White. I stamped the outline image over that, using Stampin’ Write markers. The leaves are die cut from Gumball Green card stock using the new Bigz Autumn Accents die. I spritzed them with water, crumpled them, then dabbed some Lucky Limeade ink on top. The large scallop circle was dunked in the Illuminate glimmer watermark pad before I layered the smaller stamped scallop (from the Mixed Medley hostess set) to it. The shimmery snowflake scallops on the Whisper White card were also done using the glimmer pad.
The only thing I’m changing Thursday is I’ll probably add a little spritzed Midnight Muse as well as Gumball Green to the card. It needs that blue pulled in a little more, I think. Or maybe some Midnight Muse ribbon tied in a bow to add a little weight to the bottom.
Don’t forget you can join my Stamping Team for only $99! You’ll get $125 in your choice of product, plus business supplies. And if you join by Aug. 31, you’ll get this cute tray project!
