It’s time for another Blog Hop! If you’re following the hop in order, you arrived here from Linda Wicks’s blog. Isn’t she amazingly talented and creative? Every time I get a card in the mail with her return address, I can’t wait to open it.
We’re showcasing projects using products from the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog and products with fall themes from the annual catalog. You can return to the hop home page at any time by clicking the Blog Hop banner (above) or the Home button at the end.
My projects are “Back to School.” Since my boys are older, “Back to School” means college to me. Here are a few things I’d send with my college bound student.
This is a photo holder using the Wonderfall set from the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog, as well as the Autumn Accents Bigz die from Sizzix. I love the Champagne glimmer paper and the Summer Starfruit ribbon. Instead of a photo, I inserted a positive message from the “I Am…” set we were given at Convention 2012.
To make this, just decorate a jumbo paper clip. Easy! I put a little piece of c’oredinations paper on the bottom of each side as a base, then layered leaves and added ribbon.
Every student I know needs to be organized, so I made this little folder to help out. It’s a simple report folder, but I folded it so it has four pages inside with pockets. It holds assignments, to-do lists, tickets, money, grocery lists, whatever you need a place for. I used the “I Am…” set again on the front with a Flourish designer frame and mini brads from the Holiday catalog. It ties closed with a strip of Spice Cake designer fabric. Here’s a little peek at the inside.
Don’t you love that paper clip? It’s wrapped with an antique brad. Shelli Gardner, Cofounder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!®, showed us this idea at Convention in July. It’s a quick and easy way to dress up ordinary office supplies. Here’s a little bit bigger photo of the folder inside. I used Comfort Cafe designer series paper and Very Vanilla card stock on my folder.
I put a little bookmark in the folder, too, because most college students either keep their books for future reference (like me) or they sell them to the next class. Either way, you don’t want dog-eared pages.
More Comfort Cafe designer series paper with the Wonderfall stamp set and Autumn Accents Bigz die from Sizzix.
And finally – a card from home letting him or her know how proud I am! The card uses the Daydream Medallions set from the Stampin’ Up® annual catalog with new In Colors (Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green). This is a CASE of a card from my friend Susan Horr from New York. (Thanks, Susan!!)
Your next hop stop is the wonderfully talented Marsha Reed. Prepare to be amazed by her projects!
Thanks for joining the hop this weekend! Have a wonderful time enjoying the projects and getting some inspiration!
Beautiful! I want to CASE them all, and here I sit with no Autumn Accents die, and even worse, no Champagne Glimmer paper… what was I thinking when I ordered! 🙂

Thanks, Linda! I’m loving the champagne glimmer paper. It was on my second order (after convention). Actually, almost everything I used on this post was on my second order.

Not sure which to case first. Wonderful job Buffy. Just checked my wish list for the Holiday catalog and Wonderfall was not on it. It is now!
