Fabric Frenzy

Spice Cake Fabric, Daydream Medallions, Stampin' Up, Buffy Cooper

At the Stampin’ Up!® convention last month, we were given boxes of fabric with each purchase at the Memento Mall.  They also showed us lots of things to do with fabric – besides sew it.  So for one of our techniques tomorrow, we’ll be using fabric.

Here’s a card I made using the Spice Cake fabric from last fall and the Daydream Medallions set from the new catalog.  I CASEd it from a card on one of the idea boards at Stampin’ Up®  convention.

Stamp sets:  Daydream Medallions; Ink:  Soft Suede, More Mustard; Paper:  Very Vanilla, Pool Party card stock; Other:  Spice Cake designer fabric; Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Floral Frames framelits, In Color designer brads, Early Espresso/white baker’s twine

This was so fun – and so easy.  Just rip the fabric and fray the edges, stamp the medallions (I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig since I have this set in wood mount), emboss the paper and layer it all together.  I love all the texture on this.

Wesley and his two roommates moved into their new house today.  This card reminds me that he needs curtains!  It was so exciting to see him enter a new phase of life – but a little sad, too.  It will be weird not seeing him every day.  I’m so proud of both my boys.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
