It’s been a really long day! I was up at 5 a.m., left for the airport at 6, then headed to Houston at 8:16 (ish…there were a few delays since United Airlines decided to book 3 passengers in one seat.). We landed in Houston around 10:30 (Central time) and had a 4 hour layover. I got to see a lot of the airport! Sadly, there was no free internet, so I used my phone. By the time I landed in Salt Lake City (around 4:45 Mountain Time), the battery was shot. But I finally go to the hotel. It was wonderful to brush my teeth and unpack! By 5:30 or 6 p.m., some friends and I were getting ready to leave for dinner and ran into another friend in the lobby – so all 4 of us (and Joanne’s wonderful husband David) left for Salt Lake’s City Creek Center and The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I ordered a “Skinnylicious” meal so I could get cheesecake (Mango Key Lime. Yum!) The picture above is before dinner. Joanne and Christine got to Salt Lake City earlier. Darrah hadn’t even had time to take her bags out of the car before we descended on her. I know she was exhausted by the time we finished dinner.
So I’m finally back in the room – and it’s around 1 a.m. my time (so 11 p.m. Mountain). I’m ready to call it a day, but I wanted to post a few pics for you.
Here’s my room. (Mike, I have a lazy boy! But I’m not sure that I’ll have much time to sit in it.) Yes, that is my tablet on the bed and my laptop on the desk. Have I mentioned I’m an electronic junkie?
And here’s the view at night at the City Creek Center. I’m not the world’s greatest photographer, so this is a lot prettier in person. One night, I have to get a photo of the temple. It’s absolutely gorgeous at nighttime.
So that’s it for today. Tomorrow, we’re meeting for breakfast, then heading to the convention center to pick up bags, tour the Riverton Campus, and do make & takes. And swap, of course. I should have some projects to show you if I stamp more than I talk! I should at least have some swaps to share.
Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.
