This was a great day! Sandy, Liz and I headed to Dulles this morning for the scrapbook convention. I spent way too much money, but picked up some terrific ideas! After we looked and spent as much as we wanted, we headed to a scrapbook store for more ideas. I think I’m more excited about the bag they put my purchases in than my purchases. It’s beautiful, and it’s definitely going to be used on a future project!
Since there was a storm coming, we decided to head home instead of eating in the Northern Virginia area. We got to Winchester right when the rain was starting, but it stopped long enough for us to walk from the car to the restaurant. While we were eating, there was a humongous storm – which was over by the time we finished. And what a great dinner! We all ordered the exact same thing except for dessert. They offered little “mini sampler desserts,” which was just enough to end the meal – especially since each of us boxed up about half our dinner. I can’t wait to start working with my new goodies tomorrow!
Stamps: Serene Silhouettes, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Midnight Muse; Paper: Midnight Muse, So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry; Other: Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, sponge dauber, Frost White shimmer paint (all items available in the Stampin’ Up! annual catalog)
Holy cow! I must have been really tired or really in a hurry when I punched the sentiment out of the So saffron. Talk about crooked! I’ll fix that before I send it.
I inked the flower stamp from the Serene Silhouettes set with Midnight Muse, then dabbed some Frost White shimmer paint on the stamp (over the ink) before I stamped it on the card stock. The rest is very straightforward. My favorite thing about this card is the color combination. I love the Midnight Muse with the Rich Razzleberry, and the So Saffron brightens it up just enough.
Time to relax with the man. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!
