This was another of my “challenge yourself” cards. The only thing I didn’t have with me when I made it was the ribbon. It uses the Bordering on Romance set from the Stampin’ Up! catalog with Wisteria Wonder ribbon.
Stamps: Bordering on Romance; Ink: Jet Black StazOn; watercolor wonder crayons; Paper: Whisper White; Other: Big Shot, Petals a-plenty embossing folder, Wisteria Wonder Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, 2-way glue pen
I stamped the image in the center of the Whisper White layer, then embossed all but the center using a cardboard mask. Then I stamped the flowers two more times, colored them, cut them out and added them to the card with stampin’ dimensionals. Finally the ribbon and glitter – done! To be totally honest, this isn’t Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It’s retired fine glitter that I had at the office. But it’s easy to do the same thing with Dazzling Diamonds or with Dazzling Details and ink refill.
It was miserably hot today – and humid. Mike and I had a few errands to run, and we (meaning I) decided it would be nice to stop at McDonald’s for a cone. I found out they have dipped cones now. They dip the cone into a hot chocolate coating that hardens when it touches the ice cream. It’s wonderful, but probably not the best choice on a day when the temps reach 100 degrees. I had to lick quickly to keep from wearing it – but it was wonderful!
Tomorrow I’m off to the Great American Scrapbooking Convention with Sandy & Liz. It’s going to be a blast!
Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by.
Beautiful! Love those soft colors with Bordering On Romance!
