Mike & I just found out yesterday that a friend of ours passed away this week. Of course, the visitation night and service will be held before we get home, but I can still send a card.
I thought the Field Flowers set from the current catalog would make a nice sympathy card. (It will also be in the 2012-13 catalog.) I used the Comfort Cafe designer series paper with it, and planned on using the opposite side – which has Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, Pool Party and Summer Starfruit. (I think…it’s really dark in here tonight!) but then I saw how well the floral side went with the image so I turned it over. The Summer Starfruit layer and sponging and the Very Vanilla card stock made a lot more sense with the other side, though.
Stamps: Field Flowers; Ink: Pool Party, Always Artichoke, Midnight Muse*, Summer Starfruit* classic; Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit* card stock; Comfort Cafe designer series paper*; Other: Big Shot, Pool Party seam binding ribbon, corner rounder punch, stampin’ sponge, Apothecary Accents framelits* (*available in the 2012-13 Stampin’ Up! catalog; all other products available now)
One more full day here, and then we start heading home. It’s been lovely, but I’ll admit I’m ready to be home. When your life is spent doing all the things you love to do, life is kind of a continual vacation. It’s been a blast spending time with Mike, and, of course, I love sitting on the beach. But there are some new stamping techniques I want to try with products I didn’t bring with me. And I have some music I need to learn this summer. And most of all, I miss the rest of my family and my friends.
Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!
