Well, I saw another sunrise this morning. A silly bird was outside our window at dawn squawking his head off. Mike got a picture of the sunrise, and it was lovely. Now I’ve seen two, and I think that’s probably enough for this year. Our A/C is back on (YAY!) so we should be able to sleep without birds, ocean, neighbors or sunrise waking us up.
Here’s a birthday card I made for a wonderful friend. It uses a hostess set from the 2011-12 Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog – Simply Soft. It’s a two step set, so you can stamp the inside image over the outline, but I love to watercolor. And I remembered my watercolor paper this year, so I did a watercolor instead of “2-step.”
Stamps: Simply Soft, Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Marina Mist, Midnight Muse stampin’ write markers; Midnight Muse classic; Jet Black StazOn; Paper: Watercolor paper; Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse card stock; Other: Aqua Painter, Daffodil Delight 1/4″ taffeta ribbon, Word Window & Modern Label punches
I used the markers to “wash” the watercolor paper, then stamped and water colored the flowers. I absolutely love the look of water coloring with our markers and aqua painters on watercolor paper.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day. Our vacation is coming to a close, so I’m off to make the most of what’s left!
Oh, my!!!! TWO sunrises………..you’ve set a record! I am so proud of you. Make Mike cash in on those 55+ discounts, baby, he’s earned ever penny. I loved every $$ I saved and used it on much better things than necessities like food!

SO glad I traded this set to you… I’m sure it’s much happier now that it’s being used to make such gorgeous cards!
