Peek-a-boo Windows

Remember when your kids were little and you played peek-a-boo with them?  (“Where’s Baby?  There he is!!!”)  We also read the interactive books to the boys – the ones that had pictures under windows and mirrors, textured material, things to spin.  This card reminds me of those, because it has little “peek-a-boo windows” in it.   I got the window idea from a recent Stampin’ Success magazine that Stampin’ Up!® publishes for demonstrators.

Stamps:  Bright Blossoms*, Heard from the Heart, Create a Cupcake; Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight stampin’ write markers; Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango classic; Paper:  Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise card stock; Summer Smooches designer series paper*; Other:  Punches:  1″ square, postage stamp, jewelry tag, 1-1/4″ square, dotted scallop ribbon border; Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon* (*available as a sneak peek in April 2012; other products available in the 2011-12 Stampin’ Up!® Idea Book & Catalog)

Each little window has a message or picture under it, and you can lift the window to see it.

I made the hinges with the little jewelry tag punch (that the idea from Stampin’ Success).

Fun, right?  I’m not sure who this will go to. Maybe one of the boys’ girlfriends, or one of my nieces.  Hopefully I’ll be able to find it when the birthday rolls around.

Quick note – we’ll be having another blog hop next month!  It will focus on the retiring In Colors, the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Summer Smooches Suite.  It should be a lot of fun.  I have my projects made already, and it’s really hard not to post them early.  (This card was one of the projects, but I made one today that I substituted for it.)

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
